Wee Wyanet

Hi,
Bit late with my blog today as I thought I better take advantage of the sun and mow the lawn before the forecast rain appears. Now I can crack on with crafting with a clear conscience.

It's Challenge #43 over at Scribble and Scrap and this is my DT card for the Anything Goes challenge. The challenge runs for 2 weeks so plenty of time to join in. I've used another Wee stamp this time it's Wyanet. Lexie has a few of these stamps for sale on the  Scribble and Scrap Facebook Page . They are gorgeous cute images I couldn't resist, and I do think with practice my colouring is starting to improve.

I couldn't resist making a little dreamcatcher as an embellishment. I crocheted round a curtain ring and used feathers cut from the same image to embellish it. Then added a few little red beads to match. The sentiment came from the feather stamps that were free with a magazine a couple of months ago.

Wee Daphne

Hi,

I enjoyed the warm sun this week but it has turned rather chilly again this weekend so I retreated indoors and did some colouring. I used a Wee design called Daphne as she is so spring like with the daffodil in her hand. This is my DT card over at the Scribble and Scrap Challenge #42 which starts today. Happy Easter Sunday

Hi
I hope the Easter Bunny has been kind to you all, and that if you celebrate Easter I hope you had joyous uplifting services.

I'm blogging another Easter card, but promise it is the last for 12 months. I used a stamp for the chick and egg but decoupaged it from the reverse so the stamped lines don't show. I coloured the chick using pro-makers and trimmed the kraft card with some fancy edge scissors I've not used for a long time. The background card is embossed using an X cut embossing folder - I think, as it's not labelled.

Don't forget there is still time to enter the Scribble and Scrap challenge which closes next Saturday. The theme is anything goes so come along and join in.

A little bit of Easter

Hi
I've been raiding my magazine freebies again and found these beautiful Nitwit papers and a stamp that seemed appropriate for an Easter greeting. I'm not sure whose design the stamp is though. I coloured it with promarkers and used one of my Spellbinder dies to cut it out. I edged the flower panel with a peel-off which have become less popular of late but I think they still have their place in my crafty stash.

I hope the Easter Bunny comes to visit you, and that you have a lovely Easter.

Funky Fox

What a beautiful day here today. Bright sunshine and a feeling of spring at last! Hope it is similar with you. After walking the dog and doing a bit of gardening I managed to fit a bit of crafting in. This card was inspired by the Funky Fox free papers that came with Making Cards Magazine in January. I spotted the stamp, that seems to match rather, well in The Range and at £1 I couldn't resist picking it up. I coloured the image and the greeting with pro markers, and mounted it on black card and used a kraft card as a base for the full layout.

I hope all the mums are enjoying their day and being spoilt rotten. Sadly I have no children or mum so the day rather passes me by, and I have no-one to give that special card to. So instead I've made one for a friend.

Experimenting

Hi,
Hope you have seen some sunshine over the last couple of days, and that bitter wind has quietened down. Surely spring is nearly here!

This week I decided to get out a pack of Ali Reeve's patchwork stencils and see what I could produce with them. I popped the stencil onto a 6x6 card and ran it through my Happycut embossing machine. Then leaving the stencil in place I coloured the background with pigment inks, and then over stamped using silhouette stamps. I think the result is quite effective. I'm now thinking about taking it further and perhaps over stamping with silver embossing powder. Will think on that for now, LOL

Challenge #39 at Scribble and Scrap

 

 Hi, It's a lovely sunny day but very windy. Blew the cobwebs away dog walking this morning and now back to craft.

You may have heard that Lexie is closing the  Scribble and Scrap Shop  as she is now just too busy with a new job and also home educating her son to keep it going.This means that they have a sale running until Tuesday when the shop will close.

Just for you...

Hope you like this little easel card. I made it using one of the Hobbyhouse wee toppers from Scribble and Scrap. It was a bargain in their current sale. The backing papers and accordion stickers were also from Scribble and Scrap.  I added a bit of stitching in a matching embroidery silk to the backing and the lacy die cut edge - think it's a Tattered Lace die. The butterflies are cut from a printed and glittered vellum sheet that I found in my stash and finally the butterfly corner flourish is from die-namites and I popped a bit of glitter onto the butterflies which doesn't really show in the photo.

A little valentine's wish

Hi, I hope you all had a super valentines day with chocolates and cards. Nice excuse to spoil each other isn't it?

It's time to kick off challenge #38 over at Scribble and Scrap. Gosh the weeks fly by don't they?

 I made this card using Gorjuss The Collector stamp set and Gorjuss 8x8 papers that were in the Scribble and Scrap sale. I cut the aperture by hand, deliberately wonky to match the wonky stamped images! I coloured Gorjuss with promarkers and created a shadow effect on the sentiment to give it a bit of dimension.

Clean and simples...

Hi, gosh February already and I'm still sitting with my fingers crossed that Spring is around the corner.

I made this card for my nephew's birthday. He isn't into cars, sport or drinking so I went for a clean and simple card. I used glitter paste with a free stencil from a magazine to create the star panel and mounted it on black card. I have to thank Linda Simpson for the inspiration as she made the pasting technique look so simple in her demos at the NEC last year. So thanks Linda.
The backing card is Papermania card stock and the colour just matched perfectly with the paste. I embossed it using a sheet of silicon baking mesh that I bought from Poundland. I bought it for crafting and have a separate one for my chips LOL!!

Lillibet Signs of spring

Hi, don't know about you but I'm eager to see spring pop around the corner. So for the midway reminder of the Scribble and Scrap Challenge #36 I decided to use the  Lillibet Clear Stamps Watering Flowers and Crafty Impressions Hope Blooms Stamps for the sentiment. The embellishments I made using some ribbon and buttons from my stash and I embossed the background using an X-Cut embossing folder.

The challenge runs until 31st January and the topic is Anything Goes and there are lovely prizes on offer so please pop along and join in the fun.

Moon Owl

This is the card I've made for the DT to launch the Anything Goes Challenge #36 over at Scribble and Scrap. There is a super prize to be won of a Wild Rose Studio stamp and the pack of Craftwork Cards Snowflake Die Cut Card Blanks.  The competition runs for 2 weeks and  closes 31st January.

I used the gorgeous Norma J Burnell Fairy Tangles Moon Owl Stamp. It was lovely to colour and there are so many different combinations you can do to change the style. The background stamp, sentiment and feather die cut were all freebies from magazines this month. The feather stamp is lovely and I stamped it on the background with pigment ink and onto the die cut feather, but then also heat embossed the die cut with silver embossing powder.  I added a real feather from my stash to give a bit of extra texture. Great fun to make.

Dragon Keeper

Doesn't time fly...just like the little dragon on my card!! As a member of the Scribble and Scrap Design Team I've created this card as a reminder that Challenge #35 is running until Saturday 17th January. The theme is anything goes so no excuse not to come and join in.

For the card I used Sweet Pea Stamps Norma_J_Burnell Fairy Tangles The Dragon Keeper. It is quite complex to colour. I used pro-markers and Sukura Gelly Roll pens to give some iridescence to the image which unfortunately doesn't show up in the photos, and I also made a big mistake...wonder if you can spot it??  I then used a Tonic die to cut the frame in the card and edged it with a peel-off and backed it with blue card. Finally I popped on some corner die cuts and pearls.

Just a quicky card..

Wow, 2015!!! Almost 12th night and the decorations will be going away. It also heralds the launch of Challenge #35 over at Scribble and Scrap as always it is anything goes

Must admit I went for a clean and simple quicky this week as I get back on track after the festivities. I used the Wee Stamps Topper - Hopeful and Lillibet 6x6 Designer Paper Pack. The toppers are so sweet and are a joy to use. Using craft card and stamping the sentiment in brown seemed to work well with the little girl's outfit.
